Fiona Conroy

Fiona has a Bachelor of Agricultural Science and manages a 380ha farm on the Bellarine Peninsula running a self-replacing Angus herd and fine wool Merino flock with her husband Cam Nicholson.

The beef herd runs 200 performance recorded commercial Angus cows and is a long time supplier to the Rangers Valley feedlot at Glen Innes.

The herd has a has been involved in multiple MLA funded research projects.

Fiona’s sheep enterprise is a self replacing 18 micron flock and is currently involved with the MerinoLink and University of New England DNA stimulation project which aims to increase the rate of genetic gain with the use of genetic and genomic tools.

Fiona’s farm business has a strong environmental focus and is carbon neutral. Fiona is a producer member of the Western Victorian Southern Australian Livestock Research Council committee.
